Project Life 2015: September

Hey everyone! It feels like forever and a day since my last Project Life update! Probably like a whole month or something?

Anyway, I’m back today with my September spread. I didn’t have many pictures for this month, in fact, I didn’t have anything until the 3rd week of September! It’s funny how, as the year progressed, I took less and less pictures! I need to remind myself to just stop and grab the phone (I take all my pictures on my phone) to record our memories, however mundane they seem. My goal for next year’s Project Life is to do better with my pictures and memory keeping.

But for now, here is my spread for September. I used an old favourite in terms of colours, as well as my usual tricks. But I did try one new thing: stamping directly on my pictures. The jury is still out on this one. I like that in the long run, it is going to be cheaper than buying endless lots of letters stickers. But it is quite fiddly to stamp all those tiny letters. I guess it’s a question of practice. Putting down teeny letters stickers is also a little bit fiddly, ha!

Here’s the video, the links to the inks and stamps can be found underneath!

Project Life 2015: weeks 34 & 35

Hey everyone! It’s a beautiful Friday here today, so I’m going to keep this one short and sweet, because the outdoors are calling me!
I had very little time to film, edit and narrate a process video this week (if you want to know why, check the beginning of my previous video, here:, but I managed to do it all in record time. I’m sure you’re all as happy as I am!

But without further ado, here’s the video:

Project Life 2015: Weeks 27 to 30

What happens when you don’t have many photos for a whole month? Well, you make do with what you’ve got and you vow to take more pictures in the future (though, at this point, I’m not sure August is looking better…).
I was also short on time for this week’s spread. I’m trying to keep to my weekly schedule, more for myself than anything else. And I just like going through my album, seeing it filling up, week after week. So, I was short on time, and when I’m rushed, I just go back to basics. For me, basics at the moment means black and white, plus an accent colour. Gold, this week. I seem to be liking gold quite a bit lately. It just seems to works.

Hey everyone! It’s Friday! And it’s time to share with you guys my newest Project Life Process Video, this time for weeks 25 and 26! Week 26! Halfway through the year and I’m slowly catching up, and definitely not falling behind. Which is good, but really, either way, I don’t care, as long as I’m still having fun. Which I am!

Here is the video:

And don’t forget to check the previous post for the giveaway!!

Make It Monday: DIY Project Life Cards

Hey Folks, it’s Monday! I know right, this weekend business is not long enough! Still, I had enough time to film a new video for you guys! Woohoo!
Make it Monday
As you can see, I have finally decided on where I want to go for my Monday videos. I just want to MAKE THINGS with you guys. I truly believe it’s the best way to start the week, you know, to actually make something with your own little hands. And I hope this little video will inspire you to get your supplies out and make something!

So here is the video. Materials list can be found below.

  • 140gsm watercolour paper similar to this one
  • Derwent Inktense Pencils
  • Waterbrush similar to this one
  • Copic markers
  • X-press It paper that I buy locally
  • White cardstock, stamps and inks that I’m sure you’ll find in your stash!
  • Before I go, did you guys spot my couple of surprises over the weekend? No? Well, for the first one, you really needed to subscribe to my Youtube channel, then you would have seen that I uploaded a video of my “unboxing” of the latest Studio Calico Project Life Kit.
The second “surprise” was the slight revamp of this blog. I realised last week that the previous look of the blog didn’t make it really obvious that you could leave me comments, so I decided to give it the boot and chose a new look with all the right things for my readers. I can’t wait to see if it’ll mean more comments! 😉

Project Life 2015: week 5

Hey there! It’s Wednesday, so it means it’s time to catch up with Project Life! I’ve really enjoyed this week’s layout, even though I’m using pictures from only a couple of events.
Project Life week 5

Yellow was my colour of choice this week, partly because I seemed to have a lot of yellow cards and papers (and I don’t even like yellow that much, just my luck!), but also it fitted perfectly with my pictures this week, with most of them having some kind of yellow in them. As usual, most of the things I used were either from Studio Calico or Elle’s Studio.

I hope you’ll enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed myself making it!

And here are a few pictures of this week’s spread!

That’s it for today! I’ll be back on Friday with a Colour Friday video!
